Grey buildings

I love setting up a new painting in big and bold shapes. Filling that blank canvas in a matter of hours gives me an enormous feeling of accomplishment. Whenever possible I like to work from the back to the front. This grey alley forms the background of a painting similar to my painting Cyphomandra Vitra. In the next step I'm going to blur these monochrome buildings a bit more and offset that with some contrasting bright plants.
I hope I'll be able to finish this painting in time for my first exhibition on Australian soil coming November. I'm excited to be part of a really good group of neo-surrealist artists showing their works in Perth at Gallery O.
